CONCERTS
Our concerts are occasion-specific and site-specific. We have curated an array of programs, from celebrating Women’s History Month to remembering the 1956 Hungarian uprising. We have performed in a variety of premiere professional venues, from Bargemusic to Merkin Hall, but also emphasize community work, appearing in educational settings, places of worship and nursing homes. Our repertoire is wide-ranging: it includes lesser-known pieces by renowned composers (Schubert, Haydn, Brahms); music by women who have been unfairly neglected by history (Anna Bon di Venezia, Clara Schumann); composers who have battled the injustices of racism (Florence Price, Undine Smith Moore); contemporary women composers from New York City (premieres by Beata Moon, Laura Kaminsky, Stefania de Kenessey).
Our goal is twofold: to find repertoire that lies outside the mainstream – and to present music that is deeply expressive and achingly beautiful.
​Our flexible instrumentation also allows us to perform in smaller ensembles and provides additional opportunities for private as well as public performances.
